Today, RFI Global appointed Matt Lawrence as new CEO, as RFI Global Founder Charles Green stepped down after leading the business for 17 years since its inception.
Green is to be succeeded by Matt Lawrence. Lawrence is a seasoned c-suite executive with deep Financial Services experience, including almost 20 years in investment banking and leading the creation of a global financial data company.
Lawrence said “It is an honour to join the RFI team at such an exciting stage in the company’s development. I have been impressed with the quality and breadth of insights that RFI Global gives to Financial Service companies around the globe. I look forward to building on the great foundations that Charles and the team have built.”
Green said “RFI has now grown to the stage where it is appropriate and timely for me to hand over the reins to a leader who can really help drive the next phases of growth. I’m really excited to welcome Matt whose experience, dynamism and vision for the business is fantastic. I look forward to helping Matt in the years ahead realise the global opportunity in front of us.”
Although he is stepping down as CEO, Green will continue to work with RFI focusing on key global and strategic accounts and on some special projects, continuing to help grow RFI globally into the leading insight and data provider in financial services.
RFI Global was founded in Sydney in 2006 to provide financial intelligence for the Australian financial services market and has since grown into a global company serving 49 markets.
In 2020 LA based investment partners, Diversis Capital invested heavily in the organisation, launching RFI Global on an exponential growth trajectory, establishing a local presence in New York, Dubai, Paris and San Francisco to add to its long serving existing presence in London, Sydney, Singapore and Toronto.
