Australian Banking and Finance Awards
The Australian Banking Innovation Summit was followed by the Australian Banking and Finance Awards. This year, the events were sponsored by property data and analytics provider CoreLogic and Artificial Intelligence software company Elula, held at the Sydney HQ of RFI’s event partner Meta (formerly known as Facebook).
This year RFI Global made the decision to combine our two banking-focused awards into one Australian Banking & Finance Awards. The previous awards, which have been running for over 10 years were: the Australian Lending Awards and the Australian Retail Banking Awards.
The 2022 Awards were a little different than in years past: Rather than a call for submissions, the finalists were a result of an analysis of RFI Global’s extensive proprietary data from the past 12 months, gathered directly from more than 80,000 Australian consumers. Questions used, delved into areas such as satisfaction, advocacy, and trust as well as suitability of product fit. – Ultimately, the winners were determined by their own customers.

Building a Sustainable Future: The Changing Role for the Financial Community.
The Australian Banking Innovation Summit (ABIS) has been running for 12 years and has enjoyed a reputation as THE annual event for the Australian Financial Services community. After a pandemic-induced break to our in-person gatherings, we were so incredibly excited to bring back what we think is our best event to date.
The theme of this year’s event was ‘Innovate and Grow.’ In times of constant change, Financial Services brands face an imperative to meet the changing needs and expectations of consumers and businesses and take on completely new roles and responsibilities in the lives of their customers.
